DescriptionStephen Wright.."This is the portal at the Otira end ca. 1909. (It is not at Arthur’s Pass!) A very similar view appeared in the Weekly Press on 29 September 1909. The gravel bins show at left. The bridge in the distance crosses the Rolleston River."
