AnneErrol Blocksage My connection to Dobson.
Paternal grandfather John Blocksage, wife Mary Ann, Grandfather James & his siblings lived there in the 1880s.
John was a gold prospector.
After leaving Liverpool England, in 1856, where he was a brick maker he worked the gold fields in Victoria Australia, also New Zealand, Otago & the West Coast.
John died in Dobson, 1886 & his property was auctioned off in 1888
