Spent many a happy hour playing on the swings slide & pool those were the days when kids had fun running around with out shoes stubbing toes rolling down the hill I don’t think the children of today have as much fun as we did they all want to be on their phones or IPads

So much fun spent at this park growing up, rolling down that hill to see if we could stop before landing in the creek… the swings, burning hot slide, etc… we were allowed to live in those days, before heading over to the Municipal Pool with Snowy the life saver to look after us.

We loved playing in this park when we were kids. Following along the bank of Sawyer's Creek, paddling in the shallows and swooping down the slide or swinging high on the swings.
Mr Smith,the gardener, was very friendly and didn't mind answering questions.

I remember when I was in Dixon house one of the staff yelling out of the top story window at a couple of school children making out on the band rotunder in full view of the public to remove themselves from there.

I remember the Grey Main summer picnics in the park. There were huge hanging branch trees which we sat under and enjoyed Snowfkake Icecream tubs. Many fun hours spent in that park between swims at the Municipal Pool with Snowy Rochford. Who remembers laying on their towels on those wooden seats?? You had to use the top seats so you could watch everyone lol.
