Nina Townsend Yip I rekon across from the brewery too there were a few house along that little lane some of the teachers maybe mrs sequin use to live in one that was flats closer to the school where the back of Greenfield's is now there was also one in taramauha as well that was teachers it had a flying fox there. I had a few friends live in the one next to eletronet think that was the last one standing along there

Brent David Nina Townsend Mrs Sequin was in top flat of 2 story house. One of the O’Brien brothers (West Coast Auto Spares) was in rear bottom flat when first married. There was also a Miss Ladd, some sort of nurse downstairs. Dr Kibblewhite bought & converted house into flats I remember him & a builder concreting the back yard for parking when I was little

Bev Huston Just adding my voice to the debate - FWIW I think it is Turumaha Street - the building to the right looks like part of Twohill Home as I remember it. having just done a Google Street search (Not realising the old homes seem to have been demolished on the east side of the Street..) Google Street view of 45 Turumaha ) shows what is the 'old' footpath that "could" be accessway to the steps up to the home in question.

Brian McIntyre Ive thought of that too Bev Huston. Twohills had a concrete retaining wall there in the late 50s so that slope was considerably shorter but it just could well be
