Don Hutton Susan Archer Ann lived just down the road from us in Greymouth when we were both at GTHS in the 1950s. You could hardly meet a nicer person and classy sportswoman. I called to say hello to her often at the garage in Reefton in later years.

Joss Archer Don Hutton nice to know. Mum passed away in December.

Don Hutton Joss Archer Yes. I was very sorry to hear that. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Tony John My mother, Barbara Bird (Waller), looks so young. She must have been about 18

Carolyn Luck Tony John , your Mum worked for my Grandfather and Father at Congreve and Co, Accountants in Greymouth. She was a lovely lady. I remember your grandparents as well.

Don Hutton Barbara was a fine all round sportswoman and lovely person. She was a member of the GTHS A basketball team and Greymouth Athletic Club in the 1950s. We went on school and athletic trips during those years.

Tony John I remember the Congreve and Co offices in Greymouth quite well when Mum was working there. As you probably know Don, Mum was very active in Athletics, up in to her mid 70s throwing the javelin, going off to Masters games, both nationally and internationally. It's nice hearing about her.
