Elizabeth Betty Woods Mum was Canon Aubrey's cook. Alex and I helped out on a Saturday: cleaning the church after the weddings, and preparing for Sundays. I loved cleaning/ polishing the eagle with brasso. Canon Aubrey had a cat called Ambrose, so I named my cat Ambrose Mum had to make a special stew for his cat. Lily The Pink was the song of the day, and it always seemed to be on the radio when we were cleaning - 1968 We went to Sunday school out the back with the Barrows, and at times it was just us and them. Great trees nearby to climb.

Sue Vaughan Bob Hughes took my Mother's funeral service along with Robin Kingston who I think was a canon back then and it was Archdeacon Robin Kingston who took my brother's funeral.
