Lynn Edwards I remember there being a carnival at Moana about 1980 and part of that was a swim across the lake. I think one of the Anderson girls swam it.

Melva Crampton Lynn Edwards yes my sister, Shirley Andersen completed the double crossing from Moana to Mitchell's and back. I think it was about Jan-Feb 1979. Peter Daly from Westport also completed the event. There were Eegyptians, English and NZ competitors among others as it was part of a World Series of Open Water Swims.
