DescriptionI hope i am allowed to post these. I thought you might enjoy something light. My dad as PoohBah (also with NankiPoo and Koko. I think it was in an early 60's Greymouth Operatic Society performance of the Mikado. Apologies to whoever took the photos.

Brian Beban.." The best memories of the West Coast for me when I was in the Stage Crew for the shows in the mid 60's. Fish Herrings x2, Jumbo Jamieson, Kevin Dixon, Ken Prescott, etc all with me in the Fly Floor Crew pulling the ropes to change the backdrops. Once on the final night, we hooked Jumbo on to a rope in a Tu-tu and flew him across the stage at the final bow of all the cast. There were movies made of all the shows. A lot of beer pulled up to the fly floor to keep us lubricated and a few kero tins called the rin tin tins lowered afterwards for emptying ! Beer flagons drunk and pees counted by ticks in chalk on the brick walls. Probably still there if anyone can check. Paul Soster Heather Newby he passed away 17 yrs ago but my sister mite have some,he was a life member.
