Date Created26th March 2020CommentsTheresa Gibson These contraptions are still used today and hooked onto a spar as opposed to a tree which was the fatal downfall for many. The sap from the tree corroded the wire rope. No safety inspections in those days. Many recorded fatalities in Buller.
