DescriptionAnne Bruce.."We used to go there to get the waste wood for fire wood. A big block of animal fat was used to grease the saw blades. In the winter waxes birds would come and eat this fat. They were so full flying could not happen. As children we used to catch some (easy), take them home and put in a big cage. Farm children's version of pets. At the end of winter we had to let them go. Wayne Garraway Glenn Johnston Hi Glenn. At this stage I have no idea. Still working through photos. Last time we went there for a look and panned gold in the creek was 1974.
