Date Created30th March 2020CommentsKeith Funnell It was a nation-wide offering through the schools. I believe we choose seeds that were supplied by the Yates Seed company perhaps? Always had the judging done towards the end of the calendar year and often seemed to be associated with calf club day as well. Have the same certificates languishing around some place I'm sure.

Keith Funnell Heather Newby ... we were on a farm, and being functional as a food production unit seemed to be our default setting, but yes, maybe flower seeds were also part of it as well. I got my own back however, and have spent most of my professional life working with flowers.

Judy Crestani I dont have the certificate but still have my badges. I grew sweetpeas that year. That was from Runanga School. Mr Hart said they were the best sweetpeas he had seen. The day after he looked at them our dam goat eat the lot
