Geoffrey Bell No Grant. There were many sawmills in the Lake Brunner area in the early days.

Have trying to track down a bit of information jacks mill saw mill my father and his brothers and sisters went to the school have always been on the under standing the mill burned down and that is why my grandfather and family moved to Christchurch can anyone shed some light on that

In the 50s/60s there was a Jacks mill at the top of lake hill on road between bell hill junction and Kopara, not certain but I think it was moved there from Kotoku, When that mill closed in the 60s a few of the workers went out to the Kopara mill.

Yeah Leo I might have Meyers mill and Jacks mill around the wrong way Meyers mill was at the top of lake hill and Jacks just past bell hill junction and Tucks at the Bell hill end of the Bell Hill hill plains
