Marie Summers On the back from what i can make out he talks of being in houses now instead of tents and they went to wellington to see a football match,so i would say paekakareki

Leslie McKendry No, it would be most likely Trentham or possibly over in the Wairarapa at Papawai or Tauherinikau (Ref Glynn Harper - Johnny NZ) the camps were originally Tent Encampments later improved with huts.
Any date on this as the Soldier on the left hand side with the different belt looks somewhat like my GrdDad, (bit hard to tell properly) if so that would place this as Trenthem in 1916/17.

Dennis Coleman Looking at the Uniforms I would say WW1, maybe Trentham or Featherston camp

Trevor Keith Scott I think you are right Dennis, that was the Lemon Squeezer only WW1 had them, WW2 was Berets....easier to carry and wear.
