Going up town on a Friday evening to get the groceries from Lou Kearns was such a highlight.
We all got dressed in our best clothes, Mum and Dad would meet up with friend's, chatting away on Broadway.

Margaret Kaa We lived in Davis Street and always talked about going to town when going to Broadway. Upper Broadway was referred to as the 'top of the town'.

Ian A Cox Even has a indoor swimming pool now we stayed there in February in our campervan was great to walk around and have a look at the town till saw the time we had to get going home.
