Brian Molloy Thanks Geoff. That was my Father and he told my Uncle he saw plenty of big tall blonde blokes(Germans) lying in the drains as they pushed forward. He spent 5 and a half years in the Army. Egypt Crete and Italy. Unfortunately I was too young when he died in 1967 to get to talk about his experiences in WW2.

Brian Molloy Heather Newby I imagine it was Heather though there were thousands of them there so I don't doubt Dad's experiences would have been shared by many many many other relatives of members of this group. As Geoff said in another post the Molloy family lost a relative John Patrick Crimmins in WW1 and on my Mothers side another John Patrick (Noonan) killed at Passchendale in the same War.

Daphne Mckay RIP ,what a shame .Myfather was over there and told my brothers the horrors but never us girls ..A pity to find out from others rellies . thanks for sharing .
