Charlie Quintall (89) in Nelson & Morrie Pullman (97) Cobden are still alive are there others?? Correct me if I have made mistakes.Jackie Fluerty Its seems to be a league and wood chopping team as on the shield.
Trevor Wylde Can anyone confirm Mel Ord and put a name to other end of back row also which Mahuika's Lester or Barney
Trevor Wylde Anyone know who are on each end of back row and are the Mahuika's Lester & Barney.
Tom Egan
A lot of these guys worked at the Kopara mill in the 50s/60s.I think that's Doug McLean. I went to the Haupiri School with three of the Taaffe kids, Barry, Caroline and Denis, Thier dad Dingy died young, in the early sixty's.
Rose Nolan
Min Adamson worked for a time Nolan’s Sawmill. I think it may be Kevin Mahuika in centre front. Charlie Quintall, Morrie Pullman. They were tough hardworking men
Val Paterson
I dont think thats Mel Ord, but chap beside 2nd from left is muncher Moore, back row.
Val Paterson
I might be wrong about muncher but i think the tall man back left is morrie pulman, uncle Vern told be there was a neil mclean working at kopara. I have copy of silent land with photos of kopara mill workers & nelson creek hotel patrons
Neville Sheehan
This sheild is on the Nelsoncreek Hotel wall it was given to us by Lorna Hynes when we came into the Hotel would it be possible to get a copy of the photo with the names to put next to the shield Thanks
