Noeline McCaughan There were still seven hotels there in the 1940's when the population had dwindled to around 300 and two at Dillmanstown.
rances Adank Noeline my mum nee Betty Stewart recalls Mrs Furness at the bottom pub in Dillmanstown and Mrs Morgan at the top pub where the road divided to Hokitika.
Noeline McCaughan Frances Adank I think I would know your mother, (my maiden name was Clark, I lived at the Post Office in Kumara) she may recall the time when the lower hotel was burnt down, there was an arsonist who created a lot of fear around Kumara burning down many buildings and only being identified after seven years of causing a lot of damage.

Diane Breeze The Spillane family are my first cousin's and there was no Robin in that family until Billy got married in 1958 and his wife name is Robin . There nannys maiden was Ellen Robina Morgan known as (Nellie) and had Mc Farlane .

Robin Spillane I have met all Bills Kumara rellies and even helped celebrate his grandmothers 80th, birthday.She gave us her wee spaniel dog as a wedding present.Bill and I were married for 61 years.
