Jessie Guy No sorry Pauline, it was an original photo I found in a family album and they weren't that particular in writing information down. Guess they didn't think it would be as important as we are finding it

Karen Peters The train station still looked like that when we were kids.
Big day out was to go to pictures in Greymouth and get fish and chips to eat on the train on the way home. Was still and primary school and it was a steam train!!

Peter Armstrong In this picture there is no roof over the platform which there is in another picture on here dated 1900.I can't imagine them taking the roof off so maybe this pic before then?

John Rosanowski The date is about 1900. ( Bowler hats and bicycles came to the Coast in the 1890s.)
John Rosanowski Yes it's Kumara Jnctn. RJ Seddon tried his mightiest for the line to go thru Kumara itself and held up the construction of the line to Hokitika for quite some time.
