Glenn Johnston Lilian in the photo was a tailoress so I guess she was good with garments. The girls father was a draper by trade though he also undertook other occupations. Hence some grounding in clothes for the girls.

Paul Robin Are these Jackson’s descended from the Te Awaiti Jackson’s of Arapawa Is Glenn?

Glenn Johnston No they are not. Their grandfather John Jackson came out to NZ in 1862 from Victoria according to one source. I do know that John Jackson was at the Greenstone the first of the big Coast rushes as a store keeper in the mid 1860's and also had business ventures in Ross and Hokitika.

Glenn Johnston Vicky Deans No I don't think so! There were at least three distinct lots of Jackson's on the Coast in the 1800's. These girls father was Henry Jackson but there were three different Henry Jackson's about. This is not the Jackson from Jackson's line.
