Date Created10th May 2020CommentsBruce Keddie Tried to add it up and check the total. I gave up. Wasn't that a good idea to change to decimal. What a silly, silly money system Pounds Shillings and Pence was. It seemed a pain back in 1967 when we changed but it seems a "No Brainer"now.

Roger Strong We learned it at school-knew you had to divide bythe differing bases and could do long multiplication of pounds shillings and pence as well. It adds up correctly!

Paul Agnes Smith Got diddled on aniseed balls at change over. 8 per penny X 12 = 96 for a shilling : became 8 per cent, and the unit of ten made it 80 for the same designated shilling....bloody rip off.......

Heather Newby ha ha ha..i remember aniseed balls..

Fergus Bryant yes "they" stole our speed limits off us as well.
