I biked over that bridge to go to school on some really wet and cold mornings.
The old swing bridge, it had a bit on the Greymouth side that lifted to let the dredge and other boats through.
A short cut to Blaketown.
Many remember this well

Crossed the swingbridge at about 6 am every morning on my way to deliver the Press around Blaketown in the 60s.
I was always scared of the bridge as it was hard to bike across the railway lines and onto the bridge with a full load of papers across the bar of the bike.
