Mirama Mcfadyen Oh lovely, recognise a few of these faces.
Shona Ratana Attended high school with a Mary Balderstone lovely girl from Ngahere have often wondered how she was over the years.
John Coffey Tom Reid was a Kiwi from Ngahere in 1960 and Auckland club Glenora in 1961. I remember Jacko Fahey and Alan Tibbles being very good footballers when I was a kid. Jack (Bully) Williams was co-manager of the 1971 Kiwis in Britain and France -- good bloke but he still owes me a jersey. I've stopped holding my breath!
Bill Garth Johnny Weir played Rugby for Marist but changed to Ngahere as he worked in National Bank in Reefton. Great guy moved to Christchurch sons went to St Bedes in the late 70s and 80s . RIP Johnny
John Coffey The Gibson family are West Coast rugby league legends. Grant, who would have been about 18 in the photo, was recognised in the 2020 New Year Honours after a lifetime of involvement, most of it as a referee and administrator.
