The reason both Blaketown and Cobden beaches are stone ridden now is because the river is not being dredged. The river takes the stone a short distance out to sea compared to the dredge. As a result the sea spreads them along the beaches. It really should have been obvious.

I remember it like that they use to get lots of gravel from the rivers then it kept the rivers clean not much flooding back then now not aloud to take gravel from rivers and so many floods. Can't be the problem it global warming.
