Painting the roof with dad in the 60s
Standing on the front veranda in the 50s about 4dogs had savaged some of the Bertacos sheep up in the higher paddock and Donny and Bertie chased them to a road paddock opposite grandads and they were shot then the sheep were dealt with

Yes was reroofed. Windows and recladd. Front veranda was open and the back is still the same as we moved in.

The exterior wall cladding in the40s to ar least 1966 was horizontal corrugated iron I got the painting job on that as well

Yeah we ripped out the open fires. And put both multi fuels in.

Armstrongs they lived in that house when I lived in Ranfurly Street Norma Anthony & Jim lived over Railway line so Did the Purcell family I think house was green then

Tina one of my standout memories in the mid 50s was going into grandad and nans bedroom and he would be in bed and I would ask him to see his eyes and he would go to his bedside cabinet and get 4 big round thick pieces of gold out lie 2 on his eyes 1 on his nose and 1 in his lips
