John Rosanowski Wow, look at the beards on these "diggers." This would date the photo roughly around 1900. I work this out from approx ages of now being in their 50s. They kept their beards proudly, despite all fashion changes, partly I believe because it showed that they were among the originals of the 1860 rushes.
