Brian Longley We both started at Elmer Lane in 1956 as cleaners.. Peter was from Westport.

Joy Beveridge Do you have the number of this train, think I can make out the 580 ( as last three numbers, interested as have a collection of Steam DVDs and enjoy them so much.
Read Hudson A 580 was a Greymouth based engine in this period. Would have been one of the last A class engines still in service. There is a picture of 580 in Cavalcade of N Z engines hauling the Royal Pilot train out of Greymouth during the Royal Tour in 1953.
Paul Agnes Smith Peter Griffin was an Engine Driver in 1966 when I started in Elmer Lane.
