John Green It was a lot better location than the forks and provided an option if the river came up too quick to get back.

Bob Laing I used to hunt the Mokihinui in the mid 1960s. Great part of the world. One evening sitting on the steps of the Forks Hut I counted some 40 deer on the flats - about 1962-64
