Bob was a contemporary at GTHS of my eldest brother Peter. I think he got a degree in Science and returned to the school where he taught for the rest of his life. Married Shirley Veale who was in my year at the school.

Mmmmmm Radiothon/Telethon's that's when media and the govt started making us feel guilty about not giving to charity. 40 years later and begging for money on TV and radio is considered normal. Forcing people to beg for charity because welfare is grossly inadequate is now accepted - even though it drives so m any to suicide and is illegal and violates human rights international and NZ laws etc.
