Robyn Langridge Mum- Gladys (nee Hende) says this pub was moved from the South Side of the Waitaha river up to Pukekura. Her family took it over in approx 1953. Became known for good music with Pat, Paddy and many other musos.

Alot laughter, music,stories, birthdays, fun times&sad times remembered. Dad left there abt 8.30pm 2nd June 1973 but they didnt make it home...

i will never forget the great nights at the Puke pub, and the first footing from pubs in Ross Down to Puke,Pat Hendy ,Paddy Douglas, Grants, and others , Musical instruments around and the piano rocking the floor, boy that place could tell some mighty stories, i am so glad i was old enough to go through that time in history, i can still see that piano rocking. thankyou for what i call the good old days.
