it is the whirlpool of wood and logs that is so dangerous if you fall in. Not many survive. It is really hard to get down to where this photo is taken from now.

Oh i havnt seen that mind you u dont stop there that often. Used to be a drive in track at the bottom . Better to photograph looking up at the falls like this photo.

It's amazing how the falls have changed over time as the water has cut back the rock shelf. I spotted a couple of tourists climbing over the fence at the viewing area above the falls and yelled at them to get back. Silly idiots couldn't get the idea into the their heads that they were in any danger.
