Rose Stapleton is in the centre. There are at least two other photos on the West Coast History Site with her in them. One s the Hokitika Hockey Rovers 1956 and the other Stapleton's Milk Bar, Regent Theatre, Hokitika. Rose lived in Hokitika from 1914 until 2009. Her house before she went to the Rest Home was in Stafford Street above Cass Square. There were seven in the Stapleton family and their parents, Olla Mary Frances (nee Pierson) and James Hornby Stapleton also raised Henry Pierson (former Mayor of Hokitika) after his parents died during the 1918 influenza epidemic.
