Another dying town l,m sad to say. Went through couple of weeks ago a lot of shops are empty with lease signs up. Not much there these days. A shame

These demolitions go in Greymouth yet there's little sign of any archaeological work going on to secure reference on what is below before the site is dug out & gravelled. It's a wonder really considering how important these early sites are.

After leaving living on the coast in the 70's, stayed there regularly when visiting on business - can still clearly visualise the accomodation, the dining room and bars 50+ years on - -

Really really sad about this. Worked in the Clerical Branch of the old Chief Post Office across the road and remember Revingtons well. What is left of Greymouth's heritage buildings now? and didn't the Queen and Duke stay here in 1953 or 1954?
