Richard Leach. I bet you put few calls through to Aussie during your day shifts. You diligence on the calcalugraph was most important. i was in the Reefton exchange for about 1 year 1957. if you were in Greymouth I knew Terry Kennedy the pianist, My sister in law Patty Wilson also worked there around that era. Dawn Adams, Helen Wright from Taylorville and a Dando from Blaketown.

I was reminiscing with my brother Lester just this evening and the Reefton switchboard was his first job. The unit went from the post office to the Blacks Point museum, and I was there on Friday explaining it all to my son. His eyes started glazing over.............

Myron Caldwell yes I remember Val Dando and Terry Simmie knapp and Kath Rooney were Our supervisers Yes a lot of business calls to Aussie mainly evening it was a cheaper rate and the time difference helped

Roger O'Regan If you are talking to Leckie again soon, give him my regards. A bloody character, and we both worked at the exchange at the same time. Also went to school on the same school bus. Years later, I went to a party and this pretty girl came in with a man we knew. She was introduced around and when she saw me she said "I know Myron. I used to be in love with him as he was the bus prefect" It was Agnes who had been a wee convent girl back then in the early - mid 50's. is Charley still with us?. Lester told me Charley's wife was more Catholic than the Pope. They were certainly not identical twins, eh? Myron.
