Photo 5: Boy on bicycle..Cyclist possible me in about 1952 as my bike had just arrived from Christchurch. I remember a photo being taken.

It was an interesting two years at the hotel. I remember one night my parents being woken up to a car door slamming and then the car driving off fast. When my father checked, there was a body outside the front door and the Police were called. They took some time to arrive. I was never privy to all the facts.

Also in 1954, a couple living in Seddonville were driving to Christchurch and offered to take my mother and I there. We had a head on crash in the Buller Gorge, luckily no one was injured. A Commercial Traveller heading towards to Westport, decided to turn back to Chrictchurch as it was going to take several hours to clear the road in that spot. He offered to take mother and I, whchi was accepted. At Inangahua we were invloved in head on crash with a bus, our driver and my mother were seriously injured and I was unconcious for almost 8 hours. We were treated at Westport Hospital. I feel this contributed to our leaving Seddonville.

Interesting place is Seddonville and the Street names

We spent many happy years in Seddonville from the early seventies. Mum and dad had a small farm, Snee is our family name. Many happy times in the pub too. Dave Watson was the publican.

Annemarie Harris The Seddonville school had lovely grounds and gardens. The swimming pool is long gone like all the schools.

Lynette Clarkson Hi all we lived in Seddonville for a few years also up on the hill by Robert & Sue Watson & old Johnny.Worked for Dave & Betty in pub,loved it,missed when we moved to Westport & the Watson's moved to Nelson.
