I remember Mrs Perry. She used to play tricks on Sandy and Geordie Eccles.

Jemima Perrie. My mum lived next door at 12 mile. Uncle Sam must have been very much younger doesn’t look like him there must be though. Aunty Jemima lived in dunollie for a long time after Uncle Sam died. She stayed and mum looked after her until she died in hospital. She was physic lots of predictions very true in life. I still have a patchwork blanket she made by hand.

What a great photo. This was offically known as Schultz Creek Mine supposedly at twelve mine but was actually at Te Miko cliffs, Schultz Creek 11 mile. Bill Beeby took on the lease in 1951 from Gould and Company. Do you have any other mine photographs as I have a friend who is interested in this area.

I remember mines on hillside above the 12 mile Baches follow the creek up bit of a landing etc but that is 70 yrs ago

Vincent Knapp Yes I remember that coal mine and as kids we picked up coal along roadside fallen from trucks up the 12 mile road hill .
