I'm a Toohey from Chch, could we be related? My Grandfather was Matthew , my father,Vincent,uncle Jack, Aunty ,Mary,my Grandmother Molly is buried in the Greymouth Cemetary ( she was a Carroll and married Mathew Toohey about 1920)

Interested to know how you may be related to the Tooheys if Hokitika. Have Cornelius Toohey family tree. Where does James Peter Toohey fit???

There was an earlier post I recall - James Peter Toohey (worked Bell Hill) drowned in Grey River & girls were brought up by Nuns Convent Hokitika (as Mother also got sick?) - both names were on St. Mary's Roll = but don't seem to be related directly to Cornelius' brother James (Wendy Toohey we noted that when seeking info on James (Cornelius bro) - he lived longer than this James Peter from another Toohey family. Also a Toohey on searching google immigrated as early as 1830s.
