So many memories, and so many names I recognise among the respondents On a similar topic, when I moved from Greymouth to Christchurch in 1979, through the 80s there were similar programs. There was a clergyman who had recorded a series of children's stories and my kids loved them - almost as much as I did . They had titles like "Beatrice the Biscuit" and "Rupert the Raindrop", and they had moral lessons as their theme. Anybody recall those?

These stories need to be kept alive and about 10 years ago Coast FM were playing many of them on Lyn Griffiths' kids how early Sunday mornings and I would always listen in...until they stopped that in favour of that awful Suzy Cato PC radio show. I turned it off and now even that is finished so there is no show at all any more. A great shame.

So many memories, and so many names I recognise among the respondents On a similar topic, when I moved from Greymouth to Christchurch in 1979, through the 80s there were similar programs. There was a clergyman who had recorded a series of children's stories and my kids loved them - almost as much as I did . They had titles like "Beatrice the Biscuit" and "Rupert the Raindrop", and they had moral lessons as their theme. Anybody recall those?

These stories need to be kept alive and about 10 years ago Coast FM were playing many of them on Lyn Griffiths' kids how early Sunday mornings and I would always listen in...until they stopped that in favour of that awful Suzy Cato PC radio show. I turned it off and now even that is finished so there is no show at all any more. A great shame.
