In the early 60s there was a Deli that made amazing pork pies..
While working over the road at Tip Top Ice Cream I saw a man come out with his very hot pie..took a mouthful his teeth came out & dropped to the gutter..he looked up & down the road bent down & put his teeth back in.
He was sooo embarrassed when he heard me laughing..
Such a memory I will never forget

My memories of Vouchers go back to the late 1940's when George and Bill had the store. In the very early 1950's the staff I remember were George, Bill, my brother Tony Conaghan, Frank Newsome, Bill Moore another chap from Cobden. I remember Bill telling me they had import licences and used to bring in China from England and spiritual liquor. I think Bill took that licence around to Albert Street. The Bouchers were good people who carried a lot of Coasters in hard times
Marilyn Coley
Dad closed the shop as he had heart problems plus the supermarket came along selling wines Marilyn Coley Boucher
Mike Keenan
The Hokitika Squash club had a fund raising event --a wine and cheese night and we purchased all the wine from the Boucher's shop on a sale and return basic's in the 1970's ----it was a huge night and no wine returned. The Boucher's were great to deal with honest as the days long
