    By: William Gray3rd Feb 2021 10:10AMBuilt in Aberdeen having been launched on the 6th of February 1879 under the name QUATHLAMBA to the order of the Aberdeen Line of Clippers, after trading on the Australian, NZ trade for several years, she was sold to the Craig Line and renamed HAZEL CRAIG, and after trading on the Aust-NZ trade which involved several calls here, she was sold on the 29th of April 1912. Her next owner was Peter McGennan a merchant of Warrnambool Victoria, still trading under the name of HAZEL CRAIG. May 1915 saw sold to Captain Proctor, and was registered as belonging to the Whitepine Ship Co Ltd, on the 5th of January 1917, she was renamed WHITEPINE, and under that name made her famous crossing of the Greymouth Bar under sail on the 22nd of March 1922, under the command of Captain Proctor, who also had his wife and son onboard. After her return to Sydney in May 1922, she was taken out of service and was later stripped down and use as a coal hulk for Steam Ships for several years. Her end finally came on July 1947, when she was sunk by explosives of Barwon Heads. The image shown here is a painting, but a good one.
