So they wrote the number plate number on a clipboard?
Don Hutton
The hills in the background don't look right for Greymouth when you copy and zoom it up on PSP. Different profile from 12 Apostles? No bush? Might be Christchurch? Possibly Opawa / Port Hills Rd before the Lyttelton road tunnel was built. Those Zephyrs were in use by the Traffic Dept in the mid to late 1950s. Is that a hint of Mt Pleasant suburb on the slope in the distance beyond the road? Just guessing.
Dianne Smith
Looks like the Australation hotel to the right of picture. Hills are the back of Cobden?
Brett McLean
Dianne Smith No not the Australation hotel, there are houses on the left where the railway line is.
Maureen Burnett

Bryan Eckhoff
Sandra Douglas only reason he's going over white line is so he can pass the dumb cop for not parking properly on the side of the road
Sandra Douglas
Bryan Eckhoff well cop has point his car out so the radar dish can pick up the cars
Cheryl Hedley
Better than speed cameras
Warner Nut Curry
Parked dangerously and what a waste of a powerful Zepher if it was a Friday night lol

Perhaps someone in Greymouth could pop down to the Australasian and point their camera straight down the road towards the Grey R gap and take a pic showing the profile of the 12 Apostles (Cobden Hill) and Peter Ridge (Chunn's Hill) maybe with Mt Davy in between. Karoro Beach is another location. Then compare hill profile with the traffic radar pic. QED.
Les Bryce
More like Karoro
