Description It had a one and a half mile rope way from mine to the rail at Stillwater.There was a lot of evidence that people had lived there .

Moe Bowes.."This week I went up to the North Brunner mine with Don Hartill and Peter Ewen.On the way up we found some more Cool Gardie (Koolgardie) mines, Unfortunately the north Brunner mine has been covered by a slip. This mine from between 1907 to 1920 was 1200ft above the Grey river. It had a one and a half mile rope way from mine to the rail at Stillwater. They had to bridge the Grey River to get there. There was a lot of evidence that people had lived there and a lot of bricks with no name that I was told were made up there. I have added a couple of old photos of the bridge."

Two of my Mum’s uncles (Seniors or Chapmans) worked at North Brunner. I’m pretty sure one was Frank Senior who left when he enlisted in WW1. He made it back but died young from being gassed. I still have his army issue metal trunk.
