This photo was taken in the 1950's and is looking in the opposite direction and captures the buildings to the left of Tony's photo. In Tony's photo the top left shows the Tennis Court and Ana St next to it. Ana St was quite late being built. In the other photo the Tennis Court can be seen, Ana St isn't yet built and the house on the corner hasn't been extended to include the shop. In the early 1960's I can remember, after walking past the shop towards the Hotel and past to the white flat roofed house in the middle right of Tony's photo, there weren't many buildings. I believe Tony's photo was taken about 1960.

Sure that is 1960? I was born in Moana in 1963 and while I obviously don't remember exactly I am sure there were a lot more houses there than that? Geoffrey Bell???

We lived at Bell Hill in 1963 and I'm sure they had more buildings than that.

Not 1960 - the Lake Brunner School opened around 1959 and it's not in the photo

Moana School is to the right of the photo and the Mill houses are to the left of photo out of site. The sawdust is from the Sawmill that was one of Two in Moana in the 50,s. Not in the photo.

Not 1960, Dad had a photo taken in the 40's and there were a lot more houses, they lived in one of the railway homes

Yacht club buildings and boat ramp by the train station. Spent a lot of time there as a kid.. my brother was a P class champ. We would swim in the lake and the school pool
