The school used to be Mt Parker School Kurow.the name was still on the back of it .faded but legible..I lived in it when I first married....I started school there in 1947...it was put together bolted corrugated iron as it looked at Mt Parker.....

I remember Jack from childhood...and then when they lived in High St I. Greymouth . Got on great with Colleen ...loved having a yarn with her...such a dry wit and very well informed. Really good people....

Jack Straker was my Uncle as well, was a wonderful gardner. Had my midday lunch with Auntie Colleen and Uncle Jack every weekday in my first year at Greymouth High School. Great memories.
