Great pub my uncle Tom Lalor trained the horses and my dad Kevin Lalor supplied the meat for the pub. Lesley remember you riding track work and just seen you in that sweatshirt this week. First beer on a Sunday you always got free. Great memories.

Some good Pool players There back in the day- Hackim taught us young fellas a thing or to about the game- - Jonesey from the County good for a joke or two-Joe a great man behind the Bar with Tunney. A few of the local fisherman got Bar bound there at times haha.mrs Brown did a great job keeping the place immaculate...

Lived in the little house gòodsheds side of Hotel It was first house I .L.ived in after getting married in 1961 and payed 30 Bob a week had my first 2 children there(well in the Grey Hospital) No Hot water(except electric jug) no washing machine or refrigerator o,ld tin bath, did have radio .Luckily (b4 Tv)i was so lucky to have fantastic parents who sometimes took my washing home and brought it home washed dried etc remember the kid s going past on a Saturday to the pi tures,after coming across the swingbridge from Blaketown,guy s tripping on our coal heap when the Gill.y was raided,The trains right next to our bedroom when they crossed the road, left there late 63 when no 3 baby was on the way

Ha ha the guys used to jump off the balcony onto the council yard shed roof then over our fence and run down the drive of our place when there as a raid on also !Those were the days .
