AddBy: William Gray9th Jun 2021 4:12PMCorrection to the photograph of the KAITOA, she is not arriving in Westport, its Greymouth and its not 1968, its prior to 1960, when the Union Co changed the colour scheme, the KAITOA was one of the first of their cargo ships to change to the bronze green hull and white upperworks, Built in 1956 by Henry Robb at Leith Scotland, the Kaitoa traded under Union Co ownership until sold in 1971 and renamed KATOA, resold in 1979 renamed HATI BAIK, 1990, Sold again to Natsteel Shipbreakers Ltd Singapore and demolished at Jurong from March 1992.
