Biked against that barber from Cobden to school in Grey for years in the late 40's and early 50's. Short pants of course, no gloves, couldnt use a pencil at school cos my hands were frozen, then got whacked over the knuckles with a ruler for not holding the pencil correctly, good times.

For those of you that remember those days I must remind you that the barber hasn't gone away, it still exists, I remember it well as a high school boy in the mid sixties, the uniform was shorts all year round, and I don't think the girls were allowed pantyhose either. Winters were cold.
