Yes knew him well was a very good friend of Brian's and when I came on the scene became a very good friend to me also. Ian and Brian played hockey together. Brian's words and they played at the pub too. We would all go to the night trots at Victoria Park in Greymouth and Ian said he always knew when I wasn't winning as I would grizzle about being cold. Great memories. Thanks for the photo.

Ian Lindsay Scott I grew up with him on Matai Street Dobson he was a few years older a stocky well built guy a very good league ,hockey and Fire Brigade competition runner such was his loss it prompted me to join the Brigade and I got the position left by him.A top bloke,Qualified Draughtsman with the MOW and friend to many ,this photo was taken at the retirement function for my mother from the Brigade in 1975

Hey Mike I knew Ian affectionately known as Lindsay as I grew up in Matai Street he was a few years older than me and at the time of his sudden passing I got his position in the Fire Brigade which was mid 1977 he worked as a Draftsman for the MOW and was a very good sportsman in Hockey and Rugby League and also Fire Brigade Competitions where as he was still single and living with his parents at the time of his passing he had a big future ahead of him a very affable and capable guy I often reminis of our earlier days-good times!!!
