DescriptionLast night had to be the hardest goodbye, holding my Mum's hand as she lost her battle with cancer.

Although Mum left Kumara as a nine year old, she never lost her love for the Coast, and always gravitated back there. She loved to talk about the history growing up, including memories of the old goldminers.

Don't worry, Your mother NEVER left the Coast and she is still there keeping an eye on her family. Once a Coaster always a Coaster love. A friend of mine who I have talked about the Coast with, took his wife for a short holiday from up here in Kaiwaka to Greymouth and Hokitika. Both him and his wife were amazed at the way the people were all so friendly and straight up and helpful, they loved the scenery, the coast and bush. In fact they have talked about in the future of selling up here and going to live in Hoki. They both are wrapped in the Coast.
