I think it was this dredge that went up at least as far as power road. When i was a kid there was an old dam and a dredge pond in the paddock next to watson creek on Mr Power's farm. This was just to the east of where the bretheren church is now located. From what I understand this dredge worked a lot of ground in the Karoro/South beach area.
