Not one child with glasses and one over weight , shows ya how times are changed, not that long ago
Sarah Tuahine
Neil Tozer We had kids with glasses and overweight in the 80s, I had glasses wore since I could walk. I think your comment is a bit shortsighted
Denise Biddick
Sarah Tuahine probably some of the kids had bad eye sight but in those days no one tested their eyesight to find out!!!!.
Sarah Tuahine
Denise Biddick Yep it was obvious for me because my eye moved around if its own accord lol
Denise Biddick
Neil Tozer we had overweight kids at my primary school in the 1970s.
Sharyn Lodge
Neil Tozer I think there's a wee girl in the front row wearing glasses. I got my first pair of glasses at the age of 10 - in 1961. There were a couple of other kids in my class who also wore glasses. No overweight kids though.
Beverley Carter

Neil Tozer some of the kids in rural achools actually needed glasses but it had not been picked up by their parents or teachers. Often they were struggling at school and it was put down to them not trying, being a bit thick or whatever. Very hard whe…

Neil Tozer I dont know what no glasses has to do with when the photo was taken to me that's being very ignorant. We shifted to the Coast 1996 where she was bullied because she wore them at the small school she went to when the only other child with glasses left. I transferred her down to Grey Main asking she be put i to a class with another child with glasses. Her new teacher had glasses so did a child after that no more bullying
Neil Tozer
My comment is my grand kids come to visit and spend all there timeon therephones don’t go and play I have a farm with heaps of stuff to do and have a grand son with eye problems through eye strain , it’s not the kids fault it’s the grown ups for not spending the time out doors with them
Phyllis Aberhart
Neil Tozer why mention glasses it has nothing what so ever to do with lifestyle
Michelle Patterson
Phyllis Aberhart if you read his comment tho his grandson's eye problem is lifestyle related and a common thing of today
Marcanui Taura
Michelle Patterson compared with kids back in the day reading books in poor light, its not much different
Michelle Patterson
Marcanui Taura actually it is..the light from phones, iPads computers etc have a negative effect on the brain. Reading has a completely different affect on our brains, it doesn't stimulate the brain/ eyes like playing on electronics.
